These upgrades consisted of the smaller rear side windows like those in the Pressurized 337's (rather than the larger side windows on pre-1973 model Skymasters), the top & bottom opening 'Air Stair" clamp-shell type main cabin door (rather than the pre-1973 standard front hinged door like on the Cessna 182, 206, etc), the electrically-actuated landing gear hydraulic pump (rather than the pre-1973 engine-driven hydraulic pump actuated system), improved flaps, larger front propeller, and the improved IO-360-G model engine. The aircraft was finally sold by the factory in 1978 as a 1978 model 337G. This aircraft was owned and flown by the team medical doctor of the Atlanta Falcons for 15 years. Then, the aircraft was purchased & flown by a retired U.S. Air Force Vietnam-veteran O-2 Skymaster 'forward air control' pilot for the past 20 years. Excellent ownership history.
