* - This fuselage was originally manufactured by Cessna Aircraft in 1972, and it was the factory-owned airframe from 1972 to 1978 when it was used to obtain numerous certifications for the Cessna 337G model aircraft. These upgrades consisted of the smaller rear side windows like those in the Pressurized 337's (rather than the larger side windows on pre-1973 model Skymasters), the top & bottom opening 'Air Stair" clamp-shell type main cabin door (rather than the pre-1973 standard front hinged door like on the Cessna 182, 206, etc), the electrically-actuated landing gear hydraulic pump (rather than the pre-1973 engine-driven hydraulic pump actuated system), improved flaps, larger front propeller, and the improved IO-360-G model engine. The aircraft was finally sold by the factory in 1978 as a 1978 model 337G. This aircraft was owned and flown by the team medical doctor of the Atlanta Falcons for 15 years. Then, the aircraft was purchased & flown by a retired U.S. Air Force Vietnam-veteran O-2 Skymaster 'forward air control' pilot for the past 20 years. Excellent ownership history.
