    Description
This Seawind Gets All As! Altitude. Super Seawind, N71RJ, is a custom manufactured all-composite amphibian designed to be faster and fly higher than any airplane in its class and besting most twin piston airplanes and with less fuel consumption – important in today’s high-cost world. Example: A 500-mile trip can take just three hours for up to four people or two people can travel 1,000 miles. With a ceiling of FL 240 and a 550 HP PT6 driving a constant speed 5-blade MT Prop, this Seawind can burn ground at less than 25 GPH. This plane can fly coast to coast between sunup and sunset. With a useful load of over 1,200 pounds and a six-foot cargo bay, the pilot can pack fuel, cargo, and a passengers and still have spare weight capacity. Further, this Seawind has an easily accessible nose compartment for quick ground access to batteries or stuff. Amphibious means no airport needed. 1RJ lands on its hull and becomes a boat in water with peddle steering. Staying dry, 1RJ can be driven up a boat ramp or onto a beach to tie down. It’s great for camping or beachside lodging. Avionics are state-of-the-art glass panels backed by traditional gauges except the AI that is multifunctional as a heading indicator and GPS speed and tracking. More. A G-900 Garmin leads the pack with A-Z functionality with SV, HITS, RNAV, VNAV, ILS, VOR and user fix navigation. Its PFD and MFD provide all the information a pilot needs for a safe flight VFR or IFR. The two-axis Trutrak autopilot couples with fully automated RNAV and VNAV functions to lighten the workload. A Grand Rapids Technology EFIS engine monitoring, EIS, and it has full PFD and MFD back-up displays all on a single screen that also monitors the engine and nose landing gear with a closed-circuit camera. All-around views. 300 degrees horizontal and a vertical view through the emergency exit window. It’s awe inspiring. All current maintenance records. IFR certified to 24,000’. Annual due in August. A tried-and-true engine – a PT6A-20. It is well known as the most reliable engine ever made for small aircraft. PT6 series have over 400 M hours of flight with an unparalleled safety record, with one in-flight failure of 1 in 651,126 flight hours in 2016 alone. When you add up all the As, you get the world’s fastest single-engine amphibian, N71RJ, a Super Seawind. As the only PT6-powered flying Seawind in the entire world, it is in a class by itself as a beautiful family airplane or a right-hand business tool. The perfect buyer is a high-performance pilot with at least a five-year ownership horizon who truly wants to go places. A water rating is a plus. It only takes a week or so training to obtain. Once so licensed, every hour flown is credited to both land and water time. If you want to have more fun flying than ever before, this seaplane/land plane is for you. You will be the next straight A student! Start your adventure. Call today and see if this airplane is right for you.
