There are few differences between the MD500E born in 1985 and one from 2023 but if you look closely at this remarkable 1985 model, you quickly see clues to its originality and unmolested history. This isn't a low time machine but if you average out the flying TTSN it is only 290 hours a year and that suggests this aircraft has been maintained regularly in both private and commercial roles. The trained eye notices that the blades show no sag and the static pitch angles look linear. It sits tall on its gear, the windows could've been installed yesterday, there is a visible lack of oil canning in the airframe and (I think) the paint is in great condition.
