We are currently not flying this aircraft. But it is flyable and we do run-ups almost every month and use the runway for demonstrations. We have a Lockheed serial number for the airframe, and that can be used if a standard aircraft engine was installed or a STC issued. Flying this aircraft is a real experience. The 450 hp engine puts out almost 1200 lbs of static thrust. We used a certified tension meter to record it. We operate it off a 1200 ft. grass strip and 600 to 800 ft. take off and landings work good. The Fowler flaps increase the wing area about 28 % which makes the stall speed at 60 mph. A true Bush Plane Cruise is 125 plus but the fuel burn of 12 gal auto fuel makes it affordable. Unfortunately my partner has serious health issues and that is forcing us to sell.
