    HUGE PRICE REDUCTION - includes spare engines The Beechcraft Baron 56TC is a light, twin engine aircraft developed by Beechcraft. It was based on the Model 95-D55 Baron and made its first flight on May 25, 1966. Production began in 1967 as planned and it was certified on May 19, 1967. The 56TC had an increase in structural strength and thus the increased empty weight to compensate for higher power. The original D55 Engines, Cont. 10-520 C developed 285 hp for total hp of 570 hp. at Gross wt. Of 5300 pounds The Lycoming TO-541-E1A4 engine developing 380 hp at 2700 rpm, for a total of 760hp at 5990 Gross weight making it the BIG BEAR! The aircraft was produced until 1970 when the 93rd plane came off the line. At that time it was the fastest Beech aircraft, rivaling even the early King Airs sold at the time.
