    Inspection Status

    Inspection Status
Last annual done 3-28-23 Last flight was 10-26-23 The only history of any damage was the following incident which took place at the Apalachicola Airport in Oct of 2018 after Hurricane Michael. The Airport was “taken over” by Emergency repair crews , trucks, campers, mess tents, porta potties and etc. Vehicles and aircraft were rerouted for convenience of the emergency work camp using the small standard orange/red rubber cones. One of the cones got moved a bit too close to aircraft movement, and my RV's prop nicked it, causing a splinter at the tip. I consulted with 3 different A & P mechanics as to what I needed to do. They all agreed it wouldn't be considered a “prop strike”, since it was such a minor contact & not causing an engine stoppage. Prior to the restart with the new prop I worked with an A & P to mike the prop as it was turned to verify it remained true, and to confirm no irregular vibration. It was fine, and after 86 hrs is still totally fine.
