VH-RVE This DH82A is one of the best Tigers available and has won numerous prizes. Although an important part of my collection of World War II aircraft, my efforts must now be devoted to other aircraft I own, and the time has come for me to pass this lovely and pretty machine on for others to enjoy. Some of the features of RVE, 1) During the work that has been carried out during the rebuild in late 1999, every piece of wood was replaced. 2) Totally rebuilt from the ground up, therefore it is in excellent condition today. As the previous owner has said “everything has been replaced but the fuel tank” and now that has been completed. 3) This is an English built Tiger, Serial No 83478 DH82A. Year model 1941. 4) New fuel tank replaced in June 2022. Long range capacity. 5) Updated Fuel cock replaced in 2021. 6) Elevator cables replaced in 2021. 7) All AD’s have been complied and are up to date. 8) Seat bolts have been checked and the correct bolts are in place. 9) Radio on-board, two-way intercom. 10) This aircraft has been in hangarage by both me and the previous owner who had it rebuilt. 11) It’s never been damaged since my ownership. 12) In the couple of years since I have owned it would have totalled probably no more that 10-15 hours flying. I do not fly, and it has only designated pilots as per insured. 13) The paint scheme is classic Cream with Green stripping. 14) Charlie Edmonds completed the rebuild in the year 2000. 15) Borg Sorenson rebuild rebuilt the engine at the same time (27/2/1997). Time since, 320 hours since Borg overhauled the Gipsy. I believe that the engine life is 1200 hours. 16) Harvey MacBain of Nelson Aircraft Company Rigged the aircraft in 2001. 17) It had travelled from the UK to New Zealand and from there to Australia. 18) This Tiger is housed at Caboolture QLD Australia. 19) Current L.A.M.E.
