IO-550 and V35 Conversion! This Bonanza won Reading Air Show "Best Single Engine Airplane" two years in a row. On Feb. 10, 1990 a tornado struck the Bessemer, AL airport (KEKY) and D-5399 sustained not in motion damage when a part of the hangar fell. Repair work done on engine keel and Beryl D'Shannon 15 gal. tip tanks replaced with Brittain 20 gal. tanks. My son and I have flown the airplane over thirty years since then and it trims out great.
