Inspection Status
Inspection Status
Annual Due April 1, 2024. Good Maintenance History and all logs. Note on the engine and prop. In 2014, the aircraft was in a shop for maintenance. The aircraft was chocked in the doorway of the hangar but was not in far enough to clear the door. The maintenance crew lowered the large hydraulic door and the door pushed down on the spinner and ultimately the hub of the prop. Because it was chocked and was unable to roll back, the weight of the door continued to push down on the nose of the aircraft. The nose gear was eventually compromised from the weight and the aircraft went down on the nose gear doors. The cowling received only some cosmetic damage. The insurance company for the shop paid to replace the engine and prop, the nose gear parts, nose gear doors and engine mounts all with brand new parts. No damage was sustained by the fuselage or wings. The prop was upgraded to the Hartzell top prop at the time.
