Description
N504MM is an RV-9A with a factory-new Lycoming IO-320 engine (160 hp) and a Hartzell constant-speed propeller. It completed its build and flew its first flight in June of 2011. The aircraft currently has 64 hours of total time.
While this aircraft has sat idle for long periods since its build, it has always been stored in a completely enclosed hangar. A Lycoming-approved engine preservation kit was installed for several years. In August of 2023, a very thorough Condition Inspection was performed by an A&P/IA who found no evidence of rust, corrosion, etc., inside the engine. His IA’s comment was: “This engine looks like a typical 64-hour engine that has flown regularly over a few months/years.” Over the years, all applicable Van’s Aircraft Service Bulletins have been complied with (no ADs have been applicable).
