Description
1984 Yakovlev Yak-52
The Romanian-built Yakovlev YAK-52 is the easiest entry into aerobatic, vintage, and 'warbird' flying on the market. Designed as an entry point for the Soviet fighter school, DOSAAF, the YAK-52 was built to closely resemble future jet aircraft such as the L-29 Delfin, L-39 Albatross, and MiG-15. Outside of military service, the YAK-52 is a staple of the aerobatics scene and can be seen taking part in competition aerobatics all over the world.
This YAK-52 (VH-8AJ) is only one of a few YAK-52 ever built using Flush Rivets. Most other YAK-52 aircraft have domed head rivets.
