Highly desirable non-pressurized 601B, economical like the 600 but with longer wingspan capable of 2125# payload with std. equipment. This was the first year of the 601B, engines like the 600 but factory turbo normalized with twin turbos. Said to be the fastest Aerostar in the original production fleet (601B only 44 produced), it boasts 302 mph max speed at 25,000’. Aerostars are a dream to fly, superior in every way against its competitors. Easy to fly and predictable, it loves to go. If you ever fly an Aerostar you’ll never want anything else.
