The SportStar is a two-seat, light sport aircraft (LSA) manufactured by Evektor-Aerotechnik of the Czech Republic. It was specifically developed to meet the needs of the light-sports aircraft sector of the general aviation market, featuring a greater wingspan and a slightly wider fuselage than its close cousin, the EuroStar. According to Evektor, the SportStar was designed for low operating costs, ease of maintenance, and to meet the demands of flight schools. The manufacturer claims the aircraft can achieve half the typical operating costs of contemporary training aircraft. Intended for recreational flying, touring, basic flight training, and towing roles, the SportStar features a low-mounted wing and a bubble canopy, providing excellent exterior visibility, a highly desirable attribute for a trainer aircraft. The impressive avionics suite includes a 2-Axis AutoPilot, comprehensive engine monitor, and two Dynon Skyview 10-inch touch screens, providing everything you need. Zulu Oscar is powered by an exceptionally low-hour 100 hp (75 kW) Rotax 912 iS engine, delivering outstanding short-field performance. With less than 40 hours on both the engine and airframe, this aircraft is in ‘as new’ condition.
