I purchased this beautiful Antique Piper J5A Super Cruiser for a friend who had passed away and his children sold it to me. It is hard to believe but I even have the original bill of sale that is dated 1940. It had so many upgrades from all electric added including Nav and Strobe lights, Radios, Starter, Transponder with Mode C encoder. Even includes the original headsets and mics. It had been upgraded from its original 70 hp to a very powerful 140 hp 0-292 Lycoming and a new metal 72" Prop. The plane has a total of 2794 hrs. and engine only 189 hrs. It had a full skylight added as well as the door now is a full clear Plexiglas door for viewing. I upon purchase had a full and complete Annual performed which completely replaced all the control cables with new and installed new brakes. It did have Cleveland Brakes added as well as Cleveland Wheels. I was given all the original records which date back to its origin!!!! I added LED landing lights to it as well. This plane has a very tight Ceconite Covering on it. It has always been hangered and out of the sun. I recently had a very severe lower back surgery and must sell the plane now. Not many Cub Cruisers left, this is a 3-seater!!
