Departing from its straight-wing predecessors, the Citation I and II, this aircraft introduced a supercritical swept wing, T-tail configuration, and twin Honeywell TFE731 turbofan engines, each delivering 3,650 pounds of thrust and cruise speeds exceeding 450 knots. The stand-up cabin seats six in standard layout, with optional high-density seating for up to nine. It includes a fully enclosed lavatory and a 60-cubic-foot electrically heated baggage compartment with external access. Avionics include a VII-Cockpit with enhanced Honeywell SPZ-8000 and Garmin suite with dual FMS, dual GTX transponders (ADS-B), GDL-89 Link, GMX-200 display, and TCAS. This Citation III is equipped with Garmin ADS-B transceivers with GDL-69A Link, XM Weather and XM Radio, and a GMX-200 multifunction display providing traffic, weather, flight charts, and terrain data. An SSDTU data loader enables seamless navigation database updates to the UNS-FMS. Additional features include thrust reversers, upgraded N1 Digital Electronic Engine Control (DEEC), a 76-cubic-foot oxygen system, and an externally serviced lavatory for added safety, performance, and convenience.
