The aircraft did have a gear-up landing in 2010. The aircraft was repaired by Quality Aircraft in Beaumont, Texas. The engine teardown (Prop Strike Inspection) was completed by Custom Airmotive. Custom Airmotive. A new 3-Blade propeller was also installed after the incident.
Some skins were replaced on the left and right wings along with some fuel tank bladders on October 28, 2004 when the aircraft had 2809.1 total time. It does not say why but thought we should disclose it. We spoke with Jake Clemens at Dayton Aircraft Services. Although he could not remember for sure; he did say one of their hangars was damaged by a storm. This aircraft was at their facility.
The aircraft was originally equipped with a hot prop. The current propeller does not have the hot prop de-ice boots. When the new propeller was installed, Hartzell did not have a propeller built up with boots. The system has been placarded INOP but could be utilized again if someone wants to spend the money required to add boots to the propeller and go through the system.
A $23,000 Annual Inspection was recently completed by Arapahoe Aviation along with a new Exhaust V-Band Clamp per AD 2023-09-09. The Annual Inspection Work Order referenced that some ferrous debris were noted in the Oil Filter upon inspection. It was determined by the servicing agency that corrective action #1 per Lycoming SB 480F would be the appropriate action to take at this time.
Due to the current Engine time in service, the opinion would be for the new owner to budget for an Engine Major Overhaul in the very near future. Basic overview and cost estimates for a complete firewall forward installation can be outlined and coordinated by your Bartelt Aviation sales representative.
Specifications are Subject to Verification upon the Buyer’s Inspection of the Aircraft. Optional aircraft transition flight training solutions are available. We accept trades and offer a variety of low fixed rate interest rate financing solutions up to 20 years.
