Description
1979 Piper Dakota PA-28-236
N103KC
A 1979 Piper Dakota PA-28-236 powered by Lycoming O-540 six cylinder. Owned since 2013 with inside hanger. N103KC has a great 1,202 lb useful load. Economy cruise 135 KTAS at 65% with max cruise 145 KTAS. 3021 hrs total time, 955 hrs on factory Lycoming engine. The aircraft is in excellent mechanical condition and a very reliable platform.
The avionics make N103KC perfect for IFR flight or training. Dual attitude indicators, IFR certified GPS with large LCD display coupled to a two axis autopilot makes approaches easy. Transitioning from missed approach into a hold is visual and guided automatically by the GPS and autopilot.
The WAAS enabled color LCD Garmin GNS-530W GPS/NAV/COM with latest software (v5.3) manages much of the navigation and radio portions of flying. The NAV radio identifies VORs and localizers. Selecting an approach inserts the localizer frequency automatically. Terrain and obstacle alerts make flying even more safe. The database shows nearest airports and contains all nav/com frequencies for each airport.
The Garmin Aera560 panel mounted GPS is great complement, integrated with the GNS-530W to provide shared flight plan information along with weather, airport information, taxi support, XM weather and music.
