    Description
This 1988 Seneca will be an amazing aircraft for someone who wants a solid platform to upgrade a late model de-iced twin. This Seneca III needs an overhaul for the left engine, and is priced accordingly. There will be a buyer with a part life TSIO-360-KB looking for just such an opportunity, as these aircraft are very valuable when in Service. In Europe the Seneca with the 4,407lbs Mod kit like G-BOCU has, do not attract airways charges. They offer seating for 7, are solid grass strip performers and have double width rear door. The fuel burn on these aircraft is less than you would think, and for a lot less than a Turbo Saratoga you can do a lot more. In reality the Turbo Saratoga burns 70 Litres an hour, but the Seneca for about 95 Litres cruising circa 170kts, and moving a much greater useful load in a de-iced twin airframe. In Europe the MTOW is restricted to 4407lbs to strategically manage the Euro Control Charges, in the USA the factory MTOW is 4750lbs allowing the aircraft to carry 1,432lbs. G-BOCU started life as a BAE Systems aeroplane up to 2004, a leading defence contractor in the UK where it was very well maintained. Then it went to Jerez as a trainer, and back to the UK where it was used for IR training. The LH engine was removed, after it had a conrod failure. We sourced a core engine, and this included in the sale. The starboard engine starts and runs well, the aircraft systems all check out on the ground. We want the new owner to verify same before purchase with us, and that is why we have not dismantled it. If engineering assistance is required, we can supply same by separate negotiation to ferry or pack the aircraft for sea freight. This is a late model aircraft with a great avionics suite, updated in 2020 and will really work for someone who wants an aircraft to upgrade and work with at the right price. We’ve exported aircraft all over the world and are happy to have a chat on Zoom at any stage. 1988 Model Year PA34-220T Piper Seneca III SN 3433114 1999kg MTOW Kit Last Maintenance April 2022 11533hrs TTAF TCM TSIO-360-KB (Port) Core for Overhaul/Good Crankshaft TCM LTSIO-360-KB (STB) 1024hrs SMOH Starts and Runs Well, Video Available Hartzell BHC-C2YF-2CKUF/FC8459-8R (Port) 499hrs SNEW Hartzell BHC-C2YF-2CLKUF/FJC8459-8R (STB) 843hrs SNEW Options Beacon De-Ice Boots/TKS Windshield/Hot Prop Strobe Lights LED Wing Lights Recent Cabin Heater O/H 124hrs Ago in Dec 2021 Recent Landing Gear Pump 1999kg MTOW Kit Altimeters x3 True Airspeed Indicators x2 Full Co-Pilot Panel Starter Warning Lights Vent Fan 6 Place Intercom 3.5mm Music Intercom x2 Sun Visors x2 Shoulder Harnesses x6 Digital Clocks x2 Electric Trim x2 EGT OAT Gauge
