Oceania Aviation are preparing to re-purpose this AS332L into a utility lifting configuration. With a clean 10,000 lbs on the hook, standard catagory type certificate and superb factory support - the Super Puma is proving to be a direct competitor for the UH60 restricted catagory Blackhawks. This aircraft has had an easy life flying the Emperor and cabinet of Japan for it's entire life until superseded by an H225 in 2006. Fresh out of inspection, it was sent to hibernate and finally sold over a decade later. The aircraft condition is impressive and these aircraft have decades of useful life left in them. Parts and support is everywhere and surprisingly affordable. They are type certified on your register, not on the restricted category and in the utility configuration these ships pull up to 4 tonnes on the hook.
