HISTORY AND PROJECT DETAILS: Two seat training model manufactured by Lockheed aircraft of Burbank, CA in 1963. Aircraft spent its entire career in service with the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) until retirement in 1984. The project includes what is believed to be a "0" time General Electric J-79-11F (no logs) and afterburner (in container). The engine was removed from the storage container and run up on a test stand to approximately 80% power in 2016. The project includes an extensive spare parts inventory which includes a brand-new set of wings. The aircraft is nearly 100% complete and in stock military condition with the exception of the clocks and stop watches. This model is fitted with Lockheed C-2 upward firing ejections seats which are currently INERT. CAD/PAD (pyro technics) for these seats are no longer manufactured and anyone considering flying the aircraft should investigate reequipping with upgraded modern seats. A very extensive technical library is included with the project along with ground support equipment to include a hydraulic mule, support stands and a 90 Kva AC ground poor unit. 1 pair of wing tip fuel tanks are included along with an underwing set of pylons but no pylon fuel. The aircraft has been gradually restored over the last few years with the fuel system and electrical system brought back to life. Would make an exceptional flight test bed aircraft or the possibility of offering historical "experience" rides. NEW Aircraft is located in Maine. Contact Courtesy Aircraft to Schedule a Showing!
