Engine replaced in 2017 after a FOD event by purchasing a replacement PT6A engine from Pratt & Whitney. The engine purchased had 738.9 hrs. since OH and HOT & 7735.5 TTSN . As part of purchase Pratt had Vector Aerospace perform a complete test cell run (all elements satisfactory) . Engine has 1013.3 SMOH & SHOT on 3-15-20 Details available in logbook LOG BOOKS Available via e-mail request [email protected] 2017 Engine Failure: Owner and Mentor pilot departed KABQ en-route to KBTM early morning and climbed directly to FL240. Flight conditions were clear with no turbulence or moisture present. After approximately 45 minutes of cruise flight time the left engine had a slight stutter. 45 seconds later the engine wound down and stopped. The engine failure occurred in the region of Utah know as Moab. After completing emergency checklists and securing the left engine. An emergency was declared, and the aircraft descended to FL200 and diverted to KGJT (approximately 175 miles from location of engine failure) where an uneventful flight and a normal landing was made. After arrival the aircraft was inspected by West Star Aviation. After their limited borescope scope inspection, it was determined that damage starting at the first blade of inlet section of the engine thru the complete engine had occurred. The consensus apparent cause was some form of FOD. The source of FOD was never determined. The engine was removed and torn down by Rocky Mountain Turbine. The engine was determined to not be cost effective repairable. At which time a replacement Lt. engine was purchased from Pratt & Whitney. The engine purchased had : Engine: PT6A-11 S/N PCE-10066 Engine time since New: 7735.5 Engine cycles sine New: 8615 Engine time since OH: 738.9 Engine Cycles since OH: 551 Engine time since HOT: 738.9 Engine cycles since HOT: 314 After purchase from P&T and prior to installation of the engine in N301TA the engine was sent to Vector Aerospace for a test cell run. A satisfactory test cell run was completed. Reference Left Engine Logbook for Vector test cell results (4-20-2017). The engine was then installed by Rocky Mountain Turbine and the plane was returned to service.

Engine HOT performed 1-10-2020 by Rocky Mountian Turbine. Borescope of compressor blades found no defects. Dallas Airmotive did the Engine OH (9-7-2000). OH & HOT Details available in logbook LOG BOOKS Available via e-mail request [email protected] 2000 Damage: Aircraft owner was starting engine on FBO ramp tie down area. Owner started both engines. After starting engines owner got distracted in the cockpit, failed to set park brake and allowed the aircraft to slowing move forward and contact another aircraft on the ramp with its prop. The contact area for N301TA was limited to the right propeller and a couple engine cowl. fasteners After the contact occurred, the right propeller was removed and sent to Jordan Propeller Service for overhaul (reference Rt. prop log for Jordan log entry for propeller overhaul (10-26-2000). The right engine was removed and sent to Dallas Airmotive for overhaul reference rt. Engine log for Dallas log entry for Rt. engine overhaul (9-7-2000). After prop and engine were removed the engine firewall and frame were inspected, engine cowl was repaired and a new engine mount was installed. Propeller and engine were reinstalled, inspected and returned to service (reference airframe log 1-31-2001).
