Description
Airplane was completely restored in 1985. The fabric is Ceconite dope and has always been hangared. There are 2 – 12.5 gallon fuel tanks in the wings. New upholstery, battery, airspeed indicator, brakes, ELT battery, and rebuilt directional gyro.
After the restoration the plane flew across the Atlantic to Europe, the only L-2 to do so. After arriving in the British Isles, they flew through Europe ultimately disassembling the aircraft in Tel Aviv to be air freighted to LAX.
The current owner hates to get rid of the plane, but wants it to be flown more than he is able to fly. This plane is definitely a piece of history. 1820 Hours Since Restoration in 1985, King IFR panel, full gyros, 12 volt electrical system, beautiful affordable airplane for the military aircraft aficionado! The only L2 to fly across the Atlantic!
