    Description
This airplane was built and is currently based at the Independence Airpark in the Independence State Airport (7S5), Independence, Oregon N444DX was begun at the Velocity factory with the installation of the firewall, spar and main landing gear; and the joining of the fuselage halves. It came with fast built wings and canard. It was completed over a period of several years by the current owner and EAA292 club President, David Ullman with the help of many EAA292 members. The aircraft was first flown September 2011 and now has 120 hours on airframe and engine. It was painted in March 2014. This aircraft will be featured in Kitplanes in late 2015 to show its unique Vortex Generator engine cooling technology. This airplane has always been hangared and is flown frequently. N444DX attracts a crowd wherever it goes. Kids go nuts over it (both young and old). This airplane has excellent handling qualities. It flies true and is very stable at all speeds. It will cruise at 165kts @ 9500ft burning 9.5 gallons per hour with two on board and full fuel. 45 gallons in main tanks plus 5 in sump. It is a joy to fly. Reason for selling: I am a builder more than a flyer, and have no need for a cross-country airplane. I have tweaked N444DX as far as I can and want to start my next build project.
