Mi-8MSB is an uprated certified civilian Mi-8 helicopter family version. The Mi-8 MSB is an uprated certified civilian Mi-8 helicopter family version, fitted with improved TV3-117VMA-SBM1V 4E turbo-shafts. Takeoff power provided up to OAT +45C and altitude of 4500m. It provides better flight characteristics an performance margins than Mi-8MT (Mi-17). Significantly reduced fuel consumption and increased range.

Airframe Mi-8, converted to Mi-8MSB version in 2012, assigned TBO 1500h, 8 years, with extension possible to 2000h after inspection. Total Life assigned 15000 flight hours with calendar life limit removed.

Main rotor blades version 8AT-2710-000, manufactured in 2011 with 2000h and 7 years of the assigned component life. Tail rotor blades version 8-3922-00, manufactured in 2011 with 1500h and 7 years of the assigned component life.

Engines version TV3-117VMA-SBM1V 4E, manufactured in 2012 with 5000h and 10 years assigned TBO. Total Life assigned 15000 flight hours with no calendar life limit assigned.
