Description
1941 Culver Cadet LFA in absolutely beautiful condition. This is a very rare airplane. It is estimated there are about 18 of them flying in the world and this is by far the most capable, with radios and VOR upgrade. This is strictly a VFR only aircraft. Fully restored in 2008 and meticulously maintained to almost museum quality. Currently hangared in Santa Ynez, CA, inside the hangar for the local chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association.
90 HP Franklin engine is the most rare and powerful version of the Culver Cadet, but still only burns about 4 gallons per hour at cruise, 125 MPH. Max speed is 140 MPH. Airspeed indicator is in MPH (original to the 1940s).
I am seeking a 50% partner on this aircraft because I simply do not fly it enough and this plane deserves to be flown, shown and enjoyed. Insurance and hangar rent is extremely reasonable for Southern California.
