Description
Superb example of an ex British military trainer. This model was the SK-61 exported to the Swedish Air Force. The air force sold the planes to Lund University to train SAS airline pilots, hence the aircraft have much, much fewer hours than the ex British RAF planes. They were meticulously maintained by SAAB and up-graded to full IFR for airline training and they have a third seat! This aircraft was imported in 2006, re-assembled in Florida by the same people to maintain the B-17 and B-24 for the Collins Foundation. It was flown to California and repainted in 2007. The paint scheme is stunning!
The Bulldog is fully aerobatic (+9g, -3g), it does about 9 gph and burns less than 0.2 qts per hour.
The easily maintained 200hp Lycoming IO-360 has only 80 hours since minor engine overhaul. Constant speed prop with only 900 hours since new. Fresh Annual to May 2012. All AD’s complied with.

Airframe
Total Time
4655.0
Airframe Notes
Very low hours, only 4655 total (which is half what many other Bulldogs have). This aircraft was originally used by the Swedish Air Foce (designation SK-61) as their primary trainer. It was sold to Lund University who used the aircraft to train SAS (Scandanavian Airlines) pilots. They removed the inverted oil system to reduce the number of airframe aerobatic hours. So this airframe has been well-looked after! Always maintained to manufacturers standards.
