Description
First off, this is not an airworthy aircraft. I purchased this varieze last year after having not flown in years and landed nose first and hard on my first time out. As a result the nose gear collapsed and the plane skid sideways on the runway pulling the right main gear off. The guy I bought the plane from assures me that the damage could be fixed in 10 days easy but my problem is that if I fix it I'll have to fly it again and my wife assures me I need to give up that idea.
Here's where you can benefit from my mistake. I'm asking $9000 for N430AT and another $6000 for the 20' enclosed Pace trailor that works as a mobile hangar.
The plane needs fiberglass work on the underside of the nose and on the right main gear. The strobe light on the underside was broke off. The pitot tube needs straightened or replaced. Various parts of the nose gear need R&R. The bolts on the right main pulled through the strut and part of the strut broke off.
That's probably not everything but it's the major stuff. The good thing is that since it's a pusher there was no prop strike.
The trailor is a 2008 dual axle 20x8 Pace enclosed cargo with a fold down ramp back door and a front access door. It has interior lights and two ceiling vents.
I had initally planned on keeping the plane in a hangar at the airport but hangar space was unavailable. I heard of another individual who trailored his EZ to and from the airport. After talking to him I realized the benefits of having the plane at home to tinker with as well as not paying expensive monthly hangar fees. The wings and canard are easily put on and removed by a single person in about 30 minutes.
