Description
Over 2200 man hours were spent in bringing the DR1 to its present state of construction. This aircraft is built from the finest poplar and birch woods and features a #4130 steel fuselage. It also features replicas of two machine guns, and has new Cleveland brakes. Plans for the DR1 were purchased from Ron Sands and Walt Redfern who are noted for fine detail and historic accuracy. Also available, is a Warner 165 radial engine that was intended to be used to power the DR1. The Warner 165 radial engine is complete, but would require an overhaul if it were to be operated.
