Description
This low timed 727-200 RE Advanced was manufactured in April 1982 and converted to a “Super 27” in 1999.
The Super 27 program allows the 727 to meet and exceed Stage 3 noise rules for unrestricted operation in Europe. Super 27 aircraft have greatly improved operation out of hot and high airports, obtain an increased MTOW of 20,000 lb. from field limited/climb restricted airports, and deliver up to 1200 nm more range with the same payload. Field length requirements are reduced up to 20%. Fuel burn is reduced by 10-15%. Operational costs are reduced by up to 20% as a result of less fuel burn and lower maintenance costs. Time to climb is reduced by approximately 23%. These improvements are maximized with the -219 engines, which provide 1000 lb. more thrust per engine than the -217C.
