N 97SE was finished in 1997 it has flown almost 350 hrs. It is powered by a Lycoming O-320 E-3D 1160 SMO by Mattituck, (estimated at 180hp) with a polished fixed pitch metal prop. I decided to go with the supped up O-320 instead of the O-360 because of the added weight of the O-360 (NO extra weight in the tale). Because the plane is light and has reasonable power it is as fast as other O-360 powered planes and in some cases even faster. Panel was set up for IFR flying and has a complete set of gyros, GPS and a VOR/Glide slope, VOR/GS is currently removed from the plane. Jeff Rose Electronic ignition.
