Grumman Super Cheetah with numerous modifications & upgrades 1978 Grumman Cheetah AA5A / Serial number: AA5A0564 Converted to 180 HP w. a McCauley constant speed propeller (conversion was done in 1985 under a one-time STC by AirMods NW). Engine is a Lycoming O-360 F1A6. Tach Time = 967.4 with freshly overhauled engine Flight Time on overhauled engine is: 16.8 hours (a/o 10/4/22 - current tach time is 984.2) Airframe TT = approximately 3,000 hours Newly overhauled engine by Precision Engine, completed in February of 2022, including nearly all new external engine accessories. A custom instrument panel was installed during a major avionics upgrade in 2013 by a highly regarded Avionics Shop. All the Garmin equipment, plus the Aspen EFD PFD were installed during this time. Currently installed instruments are: • Aspen EFD PFD w. synthetic vision driven by a panel mounted WAAS GPS • Garmin GTN 750 (Legacy unit & not the smaller GTN 650) • Garmin GNC 255A nav/com w. GI 106A CDI • Garmin GTX 32 Transponder (Remotely Located) • Garmin GTX 800 Traffic System • Garmin GDL-88 ADS-B system (ADS-B In & Out) • Bendix / King KRA-10A Radar Altimeter • Strike Finder (Insight Instruments) • Suite of Electronics International Engine Gauges (6 Total & upgraded to the newer, brighter display units) • VNAV capable Autopilot system that can fly coupled LPV approaches (STEC System 60PSS & Century I) • PS Engineering PMA7000M Audio Panel • ACK E04 406MHZ ELT System • Klixon Circuit Breakers Additional Modifications: Also in 2013: New upholstery installed with custom pockets - matches the exterior paint scheme. This included new plastic trim and seatbelts with automotive style latching buckles (w. red release buttons). In 2010: Aviation Development Corp. externally mounted oil filter w. bypass indicator located in instrument panel. In 2006: New highly visible yellow paint job completed. Military decals added. In 2002: Wing tip pulsing lights (wigwag / left & right wing tips) were installed. In 2000: AG5B translucent, red rudder cap installed w. strobe light (replaced draggy and less effective rotating beacon).
