    Description
For sale I have an unfinished 1991 Hi-Max 1400 I am selling. I bought the plane about a year ago from an older A&P mechanic whose health had gotten too bad to continue working on it. I had plans to finish the project because I got my pilots license a little over a year ago before I graduated high school but now enrolled in college so I do not have the time to work on it or attain the knowledge needed to finish it. I am not very knowledgeable on homebuilt planes, but I will provide what I know and if there is anything else that you would like to know please ask and I’ll do my best to answer. I have the plane in water tight storage but I do not want to leave it sitting because I know it will be a few years before I have the ability to try and work on it so I have decided to sell it instead. Here is what I know about the plane: The motor is a Zenoah G-50 (two stroke Japanese manufactured) that hadn’t been ran from the man I bought it from but has been ran since I bought it. The plane has most controls and cables run. Ailerons, elevator, rudders, brakes, etc. The wings have been assembled and both have tanks but there are a few ribs broken so they will need to be finished peeling and fixed. Motor is mounted and has a three blade adjustable pitch prop. (Notes in builder logs suggest he was thinking to buy an IVOPROP but cannot confirm that’s what he used) Many extra parts came with it such as parachute, radio, GPS, etc. that I will provide a few pictures of but unsure about condition or if they work. Two separate panels that could be used to mostly complete new panel My purchase was definitely quick and a little impulsive with my lack of knowledge and experience at the time but was hoping for a good project. For any questions or interests, I can be called or texted directly at (334) 672-6238. I am located in Troy, Alabama, about 45 minutes south of Montgomery, Alabama. I am unexperienced and not very knowledgeable in the airplane market and will answer whatever questions I can, and will accept any reasonable offer.
