Description
RW382 was built at Castle Bromwich being taken on charge by the Air Ministry on 20 July 1945. It served on No.604 Squadron prior to being placed in storage. Following service as a gate guardian it was loaned by the Ministry of Defence to Spitfire Productions Limited and appeared in the 'Battle of Britain' film in various guises. In 1998, the aircraft was sold by the Ministry of Defence and it past through the hands of a number of owners both in the UK and USA. Following an accident in 1998 and a period of storage, it was fully restored, in high back configuration, flying in 2013. Since then, the aircraft has remained under the care and control of the Heritage Hangar with a total of only 48 hours flying. Price is plus VAT (if applicable).
