Licensed Dec 09. I had reserved an N Number years earlier so it was grandfathered into the ELSA category that allows the new owner to be the maintenance technician on the plane. When the Fed came out to issue the airworthiness certificate, he was impressed enough with the work to not ask to see pictures or a building log. All he did was keep saying Nice airplane and checked that the control surfaces were linked correctly. ISON TEAM EROS W/ Rotax 503 DCDI

My buddy and I built two EROS planes together. I have 20 yrs building custom furniture, he is an engineer. Poly Fiber fabric and paint process. Wings ribbed stitched. ALWAYS HANGARED. Wing tanks with filler cap fuel gauges. Electric back up fuel pump.

The brand new Rotax 503, dual carb and ignition was broken in exactly to Rotax specs. The electronic engine monitoring system was watched like a new born baby every minute the engine ran. The engine was pickled to Rotax specs last fall.

ICOM radio with headset jacks wired to the side of the seat for a cleaner cockpit. Electric turn coordinator, rebuilt to FAA Specs. Electronic Altimeter with Transponder encoding, alt change warning, oxygen warning, etc, etc EFI electronic engine monitoring system with warning light. Mutli button stick grip controls all functions of Altimeter, EFI along with PTT. Mode C Transponder.
