Description
This gorgeous, turnkey, Lancair Turbine IV-P has just be completely redone inside and outside. It has many safety features unique for this model, including wing cuffs, angle of attack (AOA) display, and AmSafe airbag seatbelts. Cruise at 280 – 300 knots true in pressurized comfort and style, burning roughly 30 gallons per hour of Jet-A at 26,000 – 28,000 feet, yet with a landing configuration stall speed under 64 knots.
This amazing plane boats a fully redone modern glass panel with multiple layers of redundancy. G3X PFD and MFD 10” touch screens with turbine engine monitoring, GTN 700 autopilot, GTN 750 and GTN 650 Nav/Comm stack, G5 backup, and MVP-50 engine and systems monitor backup. It has headset satellite phone and keypad text through the GTN 750. The two G3X touchscreens backup each other and have independent air data computers. In addition to AHRS backup, the G5 has an independent air data computer with different programming code than the G3X system. XM and ADSB weather options and full ADSB in/out. Engine monitoring on both of the G3X screens plus the MVP-50. 406 Mhz ELT.
The plane has 1,673 pounds of useful load and 172 gallons of total fuel capacity. John Cook header tank and fuel system. Dual lithium batteries with a full four Odyssey battery emergency system. New Quentin Cook carbon fiber plenum, VR starter generator computer control and full autostart with temp limiter. Avia 84” three blade aluminum prop and updated prop governor. FCU and air conditioning units recently replaced. Upgraded hoses and components throughout. Multiple LED taxi and wig-wag lights, and LoPresti landing light that makes it like daylight.
Approx. 1600 airframe flight hours as of 12/1/2021. Annual just completed 12/1/2021. Flown very regularly, over 1,100 flight hours in the past five years or so, including almost every continental US state, Canada, Mexico, Cuba and the Caribbean, it’s ready for the next buyer’s adventure. Seller bought a jet and this plane is no longer the primary plane, so it’s time to sell it. Full depreciation/bonus depreciation eligible for US buyers through the end of the year*.
Note: Seller will retain N5EL tail number and airplane's tail number will be swapped to a number of buyer's choosing. Current tail number is on with vinyl decals only for easy change out.
