Description
A Well-Maintained, Professionally Built Evolution — Loaded, Upgraded, and Ready to Go
Built with expert build assist support from the Composite Approach / Flight Metrics team—closely tied to the original factory build program—this 2011 Lancair Evolution (S/N EVO-017) stands out for its exceptional pedigree and extensive upgrades. Powered by a 750 SHP Pratt & Whitney PT6A-135A engine and paired with a 5-blade MT propeller, it features the Garmin G900X avionics suite with synthetic vision, active traffic, and ADS-B. Enhancements include a landing gear and gross weight upgrade (4,600 lbs. with 1,859 lbs. useful load), new-style ailerons and redesigned intake system for improved engine performance, an auxiliary fuel tank for true cross-country trips, and a second intercooler for enhanced A/C performance. With approximately 715 hours total time and a beautifully maintained Jim Griffin interior, N621SS is one of the most capable and refined Evolutions available at this amazing price point. Currently based in Texas and ready for its next mission.

Airframe
Airframe Notes
The aircraft has undergone several upgrades, including a landing gear upgrade and a gross weight increase to 4,600 lbs (the most in the fleet). It features an electric rudder trim and new style ailerons, which decreases roll force. The newest style intake upgrade has been installed for increased engine performance. Additionally, the air conditioning system has been upgraded with a second inter-cooler for better performance. Braided bleed-air lines with fittings have been added, and an auxiliary fuel tank has been installed to improve range (i.e LA to Houston nonstop, coast-to-coast 1 fuel stop). All four seats are heated, and the aircraft is equipped with a FlightStream 210 for Bluetooth connectivity to Garmin avionics. It is wired for a satellite phone and has remote USB Type C charging ports. A fresh paint touch-up was completed in October 2023.
